Performance Marketing Alliance Elects Top Industry Leaders to Board

Industry’s First Not-for-profit Trade Association Garners Broad Support from Performance Marketing Heavyweights

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Performance Marketing Alliance (www.PerformanceMarketingAlliance.com), the first not-for-profit trade association for the performance marketing industry, today announced the election of its board of directors by its charter members.

Nine people have been elected to its board of directors, including:

  • Chris Henger, head of Google Affiliate Network;
  • Scott Jangro, co-founder and CEO of MechMedia;
  • Will Martin-Gill, director of internet marketing at eBay, Inc.;
  • Kim Riedell, vice president of client development for Commission Junction;
  • Brook Schaaf, founder and partner of Schaaf Consulting;
  • Steve Schaffer, founder and CEO of Offers.com;
  • Jason Spievak, co-founder and CEO of RingRevenue;
  • Tim Storm, CEO of FatWallet; and
  • Brad Waller, vice president of business and affiliate development at ePage, Inc.

The board of directors, voted in by the alliance’s charter members, will help guide the Performance Marketing Alliance towards its mission of being a catalyst for the growth of the performance marketing industry. The performance marketing industry is a multi-billion dollar industry. Performance marketing, a fast growing online advertising channel, refers to advertising programs where web publishers generate advertising fees that are based on performance. Advertisers (or merchants) pay their performance marketing partners (also known as affiliates or publishers) when an action is completed, such as a sale, a new customer referral or completion of a lead form. Performance marketing exists in the online world - often known as affiliate marketing - and it exists in the offline world, in avenues such as television, radio, print and direct marketing.
